COVID-19 guarantee’s a new normal; a new way of doing business, engaging and building relationships.
As we weather this storm together, we want to update you on what we’re doing to lessen the risk to our staff, contractors and visitors, while supporting our clients and ultimately end consumers who rely on their products to satisfy their basic needs.
Dedicated COVID-19 officer
Each of our facilities has a dedicated COVID-19 officer who will monitor the safety protocols we’ve implemented and ensure that these protocols are being followed.
Awareness campaign
Noticeable around our facility are pull-up banners, posters and flyers sharing helpful information about COVID-19, its symptoms, how it is spread and actions each of us can take to protect each other. This forms part of the awareness campaign rolled out in March within all five of our packaging divisions in the Western Cape.
Plant hygiene
Hand sanitiser has been made available at all entry and exist points as well as at high volume contact points within our office and factory, such as at reception, copy machines and staff lunch rooms.
Our biometric access system has been adjusted with cards replacing finger prints. Additionally, our cleaning contractors have adjusted their methods and frequency thereof to keep our facility clean and safe.
Personal Protective Equipment
We have provided all staff members with the necessary personal protective equipment in the form of face masks.
Point of entry
All employees, contractors and visitors to our premises are required to have their temperature screened and recorded by security before entering our premises. Our security staff undergo the same testing daily before commencing with their workday.
Travelling
Prior to the implementation of the national lockdown in March, All nonessential local and international business travel had been substituted with meetings via remote working tools, such as Zoom and Skype, and this will continue throughout.
Working remotely
Where possible, we are limiting the number of visitors to our premises. We have invested in the necessary hardware and software to ensure that our business has the necessary tools to facilitate smooth, uninterrupted meetings via platforms such as Zoom and Skype as an alternative to face to face meetings.
Employees who perform functions which allow for remote working are encouraged to work from home as far as possible.
We’re still here for you
We might look a little different and so might our business but we can assure you that we are making every effort to maintain business as usual during these turbulent times. Our value chain remains intact and reliable, our team wants to hear from you and we remain accessible via phone and email.
We remain committed to delivering packaging solutions of the highest standard.
